Project Management by Quilyx

At Quilyx, we view project management as a profession. Our team consists of specialists in project, program, and portfolio management, as well as PMO. They are capable of collaborating with clients to determine whether a topic is suitable for a project, what the desired objectives are, which leadership style is most effective, and how to best structure a project organization. They are also the right point of contact for evaluating and optimizing existing projects.

Through the color theory of RealDrives, our team understands their own motivations and the motivations of the environment in which the assignment is executed. This enables them to act appropriately to bring the assignment to a successful conclusion.

Our professionals are certified according to international project management standards such as IPMA and PMI, and they have access to the scientific Master of Science (MSc) in Project Management program at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. In addition to waterfall models like Prince2, they are skilled in Agile methodologies such as the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Professional SCRUM.

01. Selection

Based on the type of project, the objectives to be achieved, the environment in which the project is executed, and the corresponding management styles, we select the appropriate project, program, or portfolio manager or PMO based on the RealDrives management profile.

02. Introduction

The next step is an introductory meeting. One of the success factors of a project is a strong relationship between the client and the project manager. This meeting is intended to assess this relationship and gauge the likelihood of the project’s success.

03. Plan

Every successful project begins with a solid plan. This doesn’t have to be a lengthy document; often, a few presentation slides will suffice. The purpose of this plan is communication: to establish that what the client envisions has been correctly translated by the project manager into a roadmap to the end goal.

04. Formation

The project manager assembles the team and organizes other entities, such as a Steering Committee and possibly a sounding board group or a program office. The project manager also ensures a rhythm (“heartbeat”) in the project by scheduling rituals such as a daily stand-up, weekly team meetings, or bi-weekly sprint reviews.

05. Execution

The project manager, together with the team, executes the plan. During execution, the project manager applies reflection on themselves and the assignment by creating reports. These reports are then used as a communication tool towards the client and other stakeholders.

06. Closure

Successes should be celebrated. The project manager ensures that at the end of the project, as well as during successes throughout, the right people receive recognition and that the successes are widely shared within the organization. Additionally, at this stage, the project manager makes sure to leave the organization in good order, that all documentation is handed over and secured, and that the standing organization is capable of using, managing, and further developing the project’s product.
