As part of our company CSR ambitions members of the Quilyx staff regularly take part in charity events. Recently Quilyx partners Jeffry and Martijn completed some challenging events that we want to share with you.

Vätternrundan for KiKa
Vätternrundan is the world’s largest recreational bike race. Every year in the last week before the longest day over 20.000 people gather in the town of Motala in Sweden to participate in one of the organized rides from a special kids event or MTB ride culminating in the last weekend with a 315 kilometer route following the coastline of Lake Vättern.

After over 3500 kilometers in training in the 6 months before the event Martijn completed the course in 12 hours and 20 minutes. Including stops, he was on the road from 3:28 in the morning until 17:35 in the afternoon.
With Quilyx we sponsored €1 per kilometer and combined with a donation through the entry fee and contributions from friends & family, Martijn managed to raise a total of €775 for children’s cancer research.
Dam tot Dam 10K walk for Pink Ribbon
Jeffry is a member of the Dutch Garrison / 501st Legion, a non-profit organization which raises money for charity through its members making appearances in movie-accurate Star Wars outfits at corporate events, store openings and by taking part in challenges like the Dam tot Dam 10K walk.

This year members of the Dutch Garrison completed the 10K walk and raised a total of €2.501 for the Pink Ribbon charity for breast cancer research, treatment and after care.
